Whether you are new to the game of 'touch', or have been playing for a number of years, playing Perfect Motion Touch is a great way to spend an evening after work. ------------------------- Latest news Summer League 2008! Our 2008 spring/summer league starts on Monday 28th April and runs until 14th July (with one week off). Both the mixed open and men's leagues are now sold out, but we have one place left in the mixed social league, aimed at newcomers to the game. This league plays at 6.30pm every Monday. If you are interested come along to our taster session running until the league sells out. It all takes place at the Lady Bay Sports Ground, West Bridgford, NG2 5AA. We also have a spring touch festival on Saturday 17th May 2008, which is new for 2008 and will form part of a National Touch Series across 6 locations – so get the date in the diary!
Touch in the Square! On Saturday 8th March Perfect Motion Touch joined forces with the RFU in the Market Square in Nottingham for a day of exhibiton touch rugby. A purpose built artifical pitch was brought in and played host to a mini touch festival before locals were given a chance to show their touch skills in a series of mini games. The event coincided with the England v Scotland Calcutta Cup match which was shown live on a big screen in the square.
Pink Ladies win winter touch league Michelle Wynne's Pink Ladies (aptly kitted out in orange shirts) claimed the Nottingham winter touch league on 3rd March. Having already secured the title with six straight wins, they finished the season in style with a thrilling win over arch rivals - The Black Eyed Bees, 7 touchdowns to 6. Defeat meant the Bees slipped to third place, with PWC claiming second after a 7-0 win over Nottingham Knights. Newcomers Ratcliffe Staff finished their first season well with another win, this time over Hunt Habitats. The winter season was another great success for touch, thanks to everyone who took part, the support provided by referees and the fantastic playing facilities at Gresham. Nottingham Touch will return after Easter with the first of four tasters, on Monday 31st March at Lady Bay Sports Ground, West Bridgford, home of Nottingham Rugby and Boots Athletic. It's a great opportunity for anyone new to the sport to come along and find out what all the fuss is about!
